Refund policy
We accept exchange requests within 30 days of delivery.
At Surf Department, each piece is produced in limited runs and made to order. This allows us to focus on quality, reduce waste, and deliver considered collections. For this reason, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, including incorrect sizing or selection.
To be eligible for an exchange, items must be returned in original condition — unworn, unwashed, with tags and packaging intact. All return and re-shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
To request an exchange, please contact surfdepartmentco@gmail.com with your order number. Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.
Once approved and received, exchanges will be processed for the requested size, subject to availability. If the requested size is unavailable, a store credit will be issued.
We recommend reviewing all product details and sizing information carefully before purchase to ensure the best fit.
If your item is faulty, incorrect, or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Items may be required to be returned for assessment.
We do not accept returns for minor variations in colour, print, or finish, or for delivery delays outside of our control.
Refunds are only issued where required under Australian Consumer Law.
